BACKGROUND

Jamie joined Chambers in 2007 having spent a number of years practising as a solicitor and in-house advocate for a major law firm in the North West.

He came to Cobden House having gained extensive experience of a wide range of interlocutory and case management hearings, representing Claimants and Defendants in cases ranging in complexity from simple fast-track quantum disputes through to those involving complex liability arguments and catastrophic injuries on the multi-track.

He has appeared regularly in the County Court and High Court and often appears at Inquests and before Compensation Recovery Unit Appeal Tribunals. He has also appeared before Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority Appeal Tribunals.

AREAS OF PRACTICE

Jamie deals with all aspects of personal injury litigation with particular emphasis on the following;

  • Employer’s liability
  • Occupier’s liability
  • Highways / tripping and slipping claims
  • Road traffic accidents (including low velocity impact, fraud and credit hire)
  • Fatal accident claims
  • CRU Appeals
  • CICA Applications
  • Proceedings in the Coroner’s Court.

He has a broad paper practice and is prepared to take Conditional Fee work, subject to the Chambers Protocol.
