Bethany joined chambers in October 2023 after successfully completing her specialist family law pupillage under the supervision of Lisa Wilson. Bethany’s practice has a particular focus on private Children Act Proceedings, Family Law Act Proceedings and Financial Remedy.
Bethany has experience in a wide range of private law matters including cases with serious allegations and welfare disputes. In addition, Bethany has experience with cases involving relocation within the UK and international relocation. Bethany has been commended for the way she interacts with clients which can help them feel at ease during difficult proceedings.
Bethany's financial remedy practice has grown throughout her time in Chambers. Bethany currently specialises in small/medium money cases and is working towards building up her skills and knowledge to take on high asset cases.
Prior to pupillage Bethany worked in a solicitor’s firm specialising in matrimonial finance and private children. She worked predominantly with the inhouse barrister assisting with position statements, orders and attendance notes, as well as conducting research and assisting solicitors.
Bethany also undertakes care work which she has a unique experience of through her previous role as a respite foster carer and contact supervisor.
Bethany is committed to supporting Advocate (formally the Bar Pro Bono Unit) and regularly offers her assistance where she can which includes children and finance cases.
