Overview

Ian Bond completed his pupillage under the supervision of Gary Lewis and joined the Business and Property and Housing team in September 2024.

Ian is building a busy court and paper practice within housing litigation and has been instructed on a wide variety of matters throughout the country including possessions, trespass, demotions, disrepair, anti-social behaviour injunctions and committals. Ian is available to undertake a wide variety of drafting and advocacy work outside housing litigation, including applications, small claims, fast track, intermediate track, and multi-track trials. Ian undertakes work for both claimants and defendants and is happy to advise on an informal basis.

Prior to joining Chambers, Ian was a freelance County Court Advocate, undertaking circa. 1,500 hearings during this time covering a wide variety of cases including small claims, landlord and tenant, bankruptcies and consumer credit claims.

  • LLM International Business Law (University of Leeds) Pass with distinction.

  • BPTC - Very Competent.

  • Inner Temple BPTC Major Exhibition Scholarship Award.

  • Leeds Masters Scholarship.

Personal Information

In his spare time, as a UEFA C licenced football coach, Ian can often be found on the sidelines of a football pitch and acts as Head of Discipline at Chadderton Park Football Club.
