We are delighted to announce that following the completion of their pupillage, Emily Fildes, Bradley Mather, and Ian Bond have accepted invitations to join chambers as full tenants after successfully completing their pupillages.
Their respective Heads of Departments have shared insights into our new tenants, highlighting their contributions and the promising futures they have ahead of them.
“Emily has proven herself to be a real asset to our team, thanks to her extensive court experience as an assistant to HHJ Afzal CBE. She has an excellent eye and ear for effective advocacy and is diligent in her research, quickly becoming popular with both solicitors and clients. We are delighted to welcome her as a tenant.”
David Maddison - Head of the Family Department
"Bradley joined us with valuable experience from his time as a clerk at Minshull Street Crown Court. He quickly integrated into the Criminal Department, impressing with his grasp of complex arguments and his confident, mature approach. Bradley established himself as a reliable and knowledgeable counsel early in his second six, and we are thrilled that he has taken up tenancy with us."
Gwen Henshaw - Head of the Criminal Team
“Ian has joined our Business, Property, and Housing Departments after successfully completing his pupillage. Building on his experience as a freelance County Court advocate, Ian has quickly transitioned from observing senior members to handling his own cases, including public sector housing work. His meticulous pleadings and successful outcomes have already garnered repeat instructions. Ian is known for his willingness to travel for cases, embodying the Cobden House motto: "Have wig, will travel."
Richard Oughton - Head of the Business and Property Department
As Ian, Bradley, and Emily transition from pupils to tenants, we look forward to their continued contributions and growth within Chambers.
We are excited to see them thrive in the next phase of their careers at the Bar with us.
