We are delighted to announce that Ellie Akhgar has joined Cobden House Chambers.
Called to the Bar in July 2024, Ellie has over a decade of experience in criminal defence. She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and became a Higher Court Advocate in 2013. Ellie specialises in serious crime, including murder, drug supply, fraud, and sexual offences.
Known for her high level of client care, Ellie is particularly experienced with vulnerable clients and youth court matters. She also has a strong track record in advancing exceptional hardship applications in magistrates' courts. Ellie is currently accepting instructions for defence cases.
