Philip Simms, instructed as counsel to the inquest, has recently concluded the inquest into the death of Harry Sykes before Her Majesty's Senior Coroner for West Yorkshire Martin Fleming.
The inquest was heard over 10 days and concluded with a narrative conclusion.
Harry was 16 when he drowned at a lake whilst on a rugby tour to Carcassonne in the south of France.
The Coroner found that 'the organisation and preparation with respect to the visit to the lake was inadequate and slipshod and this resulted in confusion and uncertainty with respect to the supervision on the beach and the lake which at best was sporadic.'
